I just found out that Foundation, that NFT marketplace on Ethereum that many considered important, has finally shut down. It turns out they tried to sell the platform but the deal fell through, and apparently they decided it wasn't worth continuing to look for options. They have already deactivated all the infrastructure and have no plans to return.
It's interesting to see how these crypto projects that seemed established end up disappearing when the numbers don't add up. Founder Kayvon Tehranian explained it on X, but honestly, it sounds like the end of a story that many were no longer following.
