The U.S. Department of Justice opposes the dismissal of criminal charges against Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm
ME News Report, April 8th (UTC+8), the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has submitted an opinion to the federal court opposing Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm’s request to dismiss the criminal charges, stating that the Supreme Court’s latest ruling cited by Storm is unrelated to this case.
Previously, Storm’s lawyer attempted to cite a civil case ruling involving copyright infringement as grounds for dismissing the case. However, U.S. prosecutors stated that the legal context of that ruling is significantly different from the current criminal case and should not influence this case. According to the current developments, the Roman Storm case may still proceed and move into the subsequent trial phase. (Source: Decrypt)
