If your upbringing couldn’t fulfill you, and marriage couldn’t save you, then the final card of fate has actually always been in your own hands. Many people spend their whole lives looking outward for answers: longing for others’ approval, expecting their partner’s favoritism, hoping their family can understand them, and pursuing outside validation. But what they often overlook is that the real opportunities to change your destiny are only three.

The first is your family of origin. It determines your starting point, but it has never been your final destination. The second is marriage and your partner. They may be able to walk with you for a stretch of the journey, but they may not be able to help you break through the deadlock. The third—and most crucial—is your self-awakening. What’s called “awakening” is not a sudden comeback; it is picking up, repairing, and rebuilding the broken self piece by piece. It means no longer placing your worth on external approval, but letting stable and steadfast strength grow from within.

The steering wheel of life has never been in someone else’s hands. Only when you truly complete your self-awakening will you understand: you are whole and complete by nature—you don’t need to seek proof from the outside. From that moment on, you can become your own support. Remember: cracking an egg from the outside is only food; cracking it from within is life.
