The movements of Shiba Inu (SHIB) are becoming interesting. It feels like the next step for the Shibarium network is coming into view.

According to recent announcements, Shiba Inu is planning two major upgrades. The first is enhanced privacy using Zama's fully homomorphic encryption technology, which is expected to be implemented on Shibarium before the second quarter of 2026. This will enable encrypted smart contracts and proper protection of confidential information on the blockchain.

The second is a collaboration with TokenPlay. Through an AI gaming partnership, they aim to expand the use cases for SHIB tokens. Until now, SHIB has mainly been driven by speculative demand, but increasing utility is likely to be positive in the long term.

Following this announcement, market reactions were immediate. SHIB temporarily rose by 5.4%, and its market cap expanded to $3.6 billion. When these technological investments for Shibarium start to materialize, community expectations are likely to rise as well. It will be worth watching how the privacy features and gaming integrations perform.
