Recently, L2s have started competing again in TPS, fees, and subsidies, arguing like performance benchmarks... But for someone like me, an ordinary user, honestly, there are only two things: don't waste gas on emotions, and don't gamble on the experience "getting smoother next time."

My current compromise is: small, high-frequency operations (exchanging coins, participating in activities, trying new protocols) stay on L2—cheap + fast, and I won't mind if I mess up; for things I really want to avoid issues with (large transfers, holding positions long-term, key authorizations), I still prefer to go back to the mainnet—more expensive but more reassuring. As for bridges, I’m not superstitious about "the cheapest," I’d rather spend a little more on established routes than touch those with full subsidies but opaque information.

Habits are more important than "choosing the right chain." Anyway, I’ll first fix the process: start with small tests, then add funds, regularly clear authorizations... If code can be refactored, wallets can be refactored too.
