The word "modularization" has been overused to the point of becoming tiresome, but from the end-user's perspective, simply put: I might not need to care about which chain you're built on or who maintains consensus in the future. The experience is like "changing the courier company but keeping the delivery address the same." The benefit is that cross-chain transfers, migrations, and scaling become easier to hide, and you won't have a bunch of similarly named assets in your wallet that are hard to distinguish... There are also downsides: more chains, more bridges, more signatures. As a detail-oriented person, looking at the authorization list gives me a headache.
Recently, with airdrop season and anti-witchcraft measures on task platforms, the point system has made earning rewards feel like clocking in at work. If modularization truly lowers the interaction barriers, the competition might not be about technology anymore, but about who can endure longer and who keeps better records. For now, I’ll do this: revoke the authorizations for a few contracts I signed today, and meanwhile, log the interaction times into a spreadsheet.
