Iranian Foreign Minister Calls for the Establishment of a "US-Intervention-Free" Collective Security Mechanism

ME News message: On April 26 (UTC+8), Iran’s Foreign Minister Aragchi called on regional countries to establish a collective security mechanism that is “not subject to U.S. interference.” Aragchi said that Iran’s experience shows that the United States’ military presence in regional countries would only lead to instability and division in the region. He made the remarks during a meeting in Muscat, the capital of Oman, with Oman’s Sultan Haitham on the same day. He urged regional countries to jointly build an independent collective security mechanism “without U.S. interference.” (Source: PANews)
