Goolsbee: Iran conflict triggers stagflation shock, Federal Reserve faces dilemma

ME News, April 8 (UTC+8): Federal Reserve’s Goolsbee said he is concerned that the Iran war will not only slow economic growth but also drive up the inflation rate, putting the Federal Reserve in a difficult position. Goolsbee said, “What I’m most worried about right now is that we must deal with the upcoming oil crisis, which will cause prices to rise as stagflation.” (Source: ChainCatcher)
