Goolsbee: Iran conflict triggers stagflation shock, Federal Reserve faces dilemma

ME News Report, April 8 (UTC+8), Federal Reserve’s Goolsbee stated that he is concerned that the Iran war will not only slow down economic growth but also push up inflation rates, putting the Federal Reserve in a tricky situation. Goolsbee said, “Right now, what I am most worried about is that we must deal with the upcoming oil crisis, which will cause prices to rise in the form of stagflation.” (Source: ChainCatcher)
