AIMPACT news, April 25 (UTC+8): The independent messaging app XChat under X (formerly Twitter) has officially launched on the App Store. Users can now download and start using it. XChat is currently rolling out with priority for iOS, and the Android version will follow soon.

It is reported that XChat supports users logging in directly by linking with their X accounts, without requiring a phone number or email. It uses end-to-end encryption, so messages are visible only to both parties, and the platform cannot access them. It also supports self-destructing messages and arbitrary file transfers.

In addition, XChat deeply integrates xAI’s Grok intelligent assistant, enabling users to summon Grok directly within the chat interface to ask questions, generate images, and summarize content, without switching apps. (Source: AIMPACT)
