If you reach middle age and still expect to be understood by most people, it is an unrealistic fantasy. In reality, not being understood is the norm; everyone's experiences, perspectives, and cognition are different, and it is impossible to achieve complete empathy for each other. Therefore, if you hold overly high expectations for "being understood" and hope for widespread approval in everything you do, it will instead lead to disappointment. This expectation itself is a cognitive bias that should be actively let go of, and instead, accept the natural barriers that exist between people.
