Just checked the Q1 numbers and wow, Bitcoin and Ethereum both got hit pretty hard. BTC down about 23% for the quarter while ETH dropped over 33%, which is rough. Definitely not the typical strong Q1 we usually see. If you look back to 2013 and early cycles, we've had worse opens before - 2018 was brutal with Bitcoin down nearly 50% in Q1 alone - but still, this year's pullback from those October and August peaks has been significant. What's interesting though is the bounce we're seeing right now. Bitcoin just popped up 0.68% in the last 24 hours and is sitting around $78.2K, while Ethereum ticked down slightly to $2.32K. The supply dynamics on-chain suggest longer-term holders are actually accumulating during this dip rather than panic selling, which is usually a decent signal. Institutional folks are still throwing out bullish targets too, so maybe the worst of the correction is behind us. Worth watching how we close out April.
