When children face conflicts, the key is not to teach them to "hit back" or "tell the teacher." Hitting back encourages reliance on violence, while telling the teacher encourages reliance on authority. Instead, it is about cultivating them to become individuals who can make independent judgments, calmly express boundaries, seek support when necessary, and protect their own safety. It is through repeated reflection and practice that they learn to defend themselves in the minimal necessary way.
