The so-called "normal" is not closer to the truth, but simply closer to the state of the majority; "abnormal" does not necessarily mean wrong, it is just a deviation from the mainstream order. When individuals need to prove their own state through self-narration, judgment has long shifted from objectivity to subjective construction. People are both the defined objects and the participants in defining; thus, a paradox arises: we rely on subjective experience to establish standards, yet use these standards to deny the credibility of subjectivity. On a deeper level, human consciousness is itself a coexistence of multiple voices; reason, emotion, and desire are merely different aspects that have been named. The so-called normal is just the balance maintained within the socially permissible range of these voices, while abnormality is the loosening and manifestation of this balance. Therefore, what is truly worth reflecting on is not whether individuals deviate from reality, but whether the reality consensus we rely on is itself just an unchallenged majority imagination.
