Golden Finance reports that on April 24th, the Ethereum reserve company Bitmine, founded by Tom Lee, added approximately $320 million worth of ETH staking in the past 24 hours, with over 70% of its total holdings now participating in staking for yields.
On-chain data shows that around 75,600 ETH was transferred to Coinbase Prime for staking on Thursday morning, following a previous configuration of about 61,200 ETH on Wednesday, marking the first large-scale operation in nearly three weeks.
Blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain pointed out that currently, Bitmine has staked approximately 3.5 million ETH, worth about $8.1 billion, accounting for roughly 70.1% of its total holdings. Additionally, there are reports that three new wallets suspected to be related to the company received about 100k ETH (approximately $234 million) before Thursday. If true, its total holdings would rise to about 5.08 million ETH.
In comparison, the industry’s second-largest holder, SharpLink, currently holds only about 869k ETH, with Bitmine’s scale surpassing it by over 580%. The company now controls more than 4.1% of the total Ethereum supply, approaching its 5% target level.
