Bitmine increases its staked amount by $320 million, and the Ethereum staking ratio surpasses 70%

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bitmine, an Ethereum reserve company founded by Tom Lee, added approximately $320 million worth of ETH staking within the past 24 hours, bringing more than 70% of its total holdings into staking to earn yield.

On-chain data shows that early Thursday morning, about 75,600 ETH were transferred to Coinbase Prime for staking. Previously on Wednesday, about 61,200 ETH had also been set up for staking—marking the first large-scale move in nearly three weeks.

Blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain noted that Bitmine has now cumulatively staked approximately 3.5 million ETH, worth about $8.1 billion, accounting for roughly 70.1% of its total holdings. There are also reports that three new wallets suspected to be associated with the company received about 100,000 ETH (about $234 million) before Thursday. If true, its total holdings would rise to about 5.08 million ETH.

By comparison, SharpLink, the industry’s second-largest holder, currently holds only about 869,000 ETH. Bitmine’s scale is over 580% larger. The company has already controlled more than 4.1% of Ethereum’s total supply and is approaching its 5% target level.
