Iran claims it has developed a list of counterattack targets against the U.S. and its allies
ME News report, April 23 (UTC+8). Amid diplomatic difficulties and a lack of trust in negotiations, Iran has drawn up a target list to respond to potential military action by the U.S. and its allies, based on the principles of “reciprocal response” and “offensive deterrence.” The list includes multiple response options: if Iran’s power plants are attacked, it will retaliate with missile and drone strikes on Israel and its allies’ power facilities; if oil and gas facilities are attacked, it will carry out counterstrikes against Israel and its allies’ oil and gas infrastructure, with the goal of reducing global daily oil production by 25 million barrels; if military and political officials are assassinated, it will strike IT and AI centers in the relevant countries; if territorial sovereignty is violated, it will launch large-scale attacks on aircraft carriers and helicopters; if a maritime blockade is escalated, it will blockade the Strait of Mand and the Strait of Hormuz; if the U.S. military invades Iran, Iran will carry out ground counterattacks together with local armed forces and civilians, and may even target U.S. interests in other regions.
