I’ve recently started recording my motivations and emotions during each airdrop interaction: whether it’s “just trying it out casually” or “fearing missing out.” Writing it down feels quite harsh; many actions are actually driven by the timeline, the more anxious I get, the more I click, and in the end, it’s like I’m just sending Gas to others. The biggest benefit of recording this is that it makes me slow down a bit, asking myself first, “Can I accept the anti-rug risk?” If not, I just give up—there are plenty of opportunities anyway.
Lately, hardware wallets have been out of stock again, and phishing links are rampant. Honestly, the more lively it gets, the more I need to stay calm. Now, when I see words like “last day” or “official subsidy,” I reflexively want to close the page… Anyway, I’d rather have fewer interactions than risk losing my main wallet due to FOMO. The most secure transactions are really quite boring, but at least I can sleep well at night.
