ME News report, April 7 (UTC+8). On April 6, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Iranian Foreign Minister Alaghasi spoke by phone with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed, to discuss the latest developments in the region, the consequences of the U.S. and Israeli aggression against Iran, and bilateral relations between Iran and Qatar. Alaghasi said that the current situation is entirely the result of military actions initiated by the U.S. and Israel against Iran. Alaghasi said that, under international law, countries have an obligation to prevent other countries from using their territory to carry out military operations against other nations, and he hopes that regional countries will work in unison to promote peace and security. According to a statement released by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed urged all parties to respect international law and stressed that a comprehensive and durable diplomatic solution is the only option to resolve the crisis.
