Someone asked me... how to choose between the mainnet and Layer 2. To be honest, I now just follow the principle of "don't treat gas fees as tuition." For small, frequent transactions (claiming airdrops, swapping small coins, participating in activities), I use L2—it's hassle-free, no need to panic; for long-term holding, large amounts, or contract collateral where a problem could be disastrous, I prefer to pay a bit more gas to the mainnet—at least I feel more secure.

I was previously educated about leverage trading, and now that I see extreme funding rates or groups arguing about reversals and still trying to squeeze the bubble, I actually don't want to keep bouncing between the mainnet and Layer 2 anymore... The most expensive thing when emotions run high isn't losing money, but constantly changing your mind and paying transaction fees. Anyway, my compromise is: use L2 as my daily wallet, and the mainnet as my safe deposit box—this is how I’ll start.
