Iran's Foreign Minister and Qatar's Foreign Minister have a phone call to discuss regional developments.
ME News report, April 7 (UTC+8). On April 6, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that Iranian Foreign Minister Alireza Araghchi spoke by phone with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed, discussing the latest developments in the region, the consequences of U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran, and bilateral relations between Iran and Qatar. Araghchi said that the current situation is entirely the result of military actions launched by the U.S. and Israel against Iran. Araghchi also said that, under international law, countries are obliged to prevent other countries from using their territory to carry out military actions against other nations, and he hopes regional countries can work together to promote peace and security. According to a statement issued by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed urged all parties to respect international law, emphasizing that a comprehensive and durable diplomatic solution is the only option for resolving the crisis.
