I just reviewed Bitcoin holding data, and it’s still incredible to see how Satoshi Nakamoto remains the largest accumulator of BTC through 2026. With 1.1 million coins in his possession, we’re talking about a fortune close to $86 billion at current prices. It’s fascinating to think that after more than a decade, Satoshi’s wallet remains untouchable in the ranking.
What’s interesting is that other major players have started entering the game. We see institutions like BlackRock, some strategic funds, the U.S. government, and Tether positioning themselves as significant holders. Even some large exchange platforms have substantial accumulations. But nothing compares to what Satoshi has.
If I think about it, Satoshi’s position as the top Bitcoin holder is almost a symbol of the decentralization he aimed to create. Although his wallet is there, untouched, other more recent actors are buying and accumulating. Data from Arkham Intelligence.
