ME News Report, April 22 (UTC+8), today (April 22), Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baharvand stated that Iran has not yet decided whether to participate in a new round of negotiations with the United States. Baharvand said in an interview with the media that Iran engaged in the first round of negotiations with the US in good faith and with a serious attitude, but the US showed a cold attitude, lacked sincerity, and its stance was inconsistent. He stated that Iran has made it clear that if going to Islamabad, Pakistan, to participate in negotiations aligns with national interests, Iran will participate, but no decision has been made yet. Baharvand said that the US blockade of Iranian ports is an act of aggression, and shooting at and seizing Iranian commercial ships is not behavior expected from a country genuinely committed to serious diplomatic progress.
