Lately, multi-chain wallets have been making things a bit chaotic. Assets are spread across several addresses, and while the balances look substantial, I always have to flip through records when I actually want to use them... My current simple method is: have one "long-term, inactive" main address, and open a separate hot address for interactions. I try to limit the chains to two or three commonly used ones, so I don't switch between different addresses every day. Cross-chain transfers are treated as one-time moves; once moved, I immediately record the transaction, or else after a couple of weeks, I start to doubt whether the funds are lost. When a major chain is upgrading or undergoing maintenance, and the community is speculating whether projects will migrate, I actually become lazier and prefer to wait until the hype dies down before checking where the on-chain funds are heading. Honestly, reducing the number of operations is the best form of management. What I don't regret is slowing down the desire to participate—preferring fewer opportunities rather than turning myself into an accountant.
