The U.S. military will block Iranian port maritime traffic at 10 p.m. on the 13th.
ME News message. On April 13 (UTC+8), the U.S. Central Command issued a notice stating that U.S. Central Command troops will begin implementing a maritime blockade of all sea traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on April 13 (22:00 Beijing time today). This blockade will be enforced equally on all vessels of all countries entering and exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas (including all Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman). The Central Command troops will not hinder the freedom of navigation of vessels traveling back and forth between non-Iranian ports through the Strait of Hormuz. Before the blockade begins, more information will be provided to commercial mariners through official notifications. All mariners are advised to monitor the “Maritime Notices” broadcasts and, when operating in the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz entrance areas, to contact U.S. Navy forces via Bridge-to-Bridge Channel 16.
