ME News message: On April 21 (UTC+8), U.S. President Trump recently said the U.S. expects to ultimately reach an agreement with Iran because Iran has no choice and must participate in negotiations. He claimed that the U.S. has the advantage in the negotiations, and that the current situation is one of “regime change,” with dealings with Iran having been successful. Trump emphasized that the U.S. has full control of the Strait of Hormuz, and that the blockade measures have produced significant results.

Regarding a ceasefire, he said he does not want to extend it again and stated that Iran can improve its situation through an agreement. Iran has been approved to attend talks in Pakistan, and may become a “legitimate state.” At the same time, Trump said Iran should be more rational; otherwise, it may face military strikes against its infrastructure. He said the U.S. has more equipment on hand, is on standby, and is prepared to bomb Iran, adding that U.S. forces are ready to enter Iran. (Source: MLion)
