CryptoWorld News reported that on April 21, the Arbitrum Security Council announced that it had taken emergency measures to rescue 30,766 ETH stored in an Arbitrum One address associated with a KelpDAO vulnerability. With the assistance of law enforcement agencies, the Security Council identified the attacker’s identity and, while always upholding the safety and integrity of the Arbitrum community, ensured that it would not affect any Arbitrum users or applications. After extensive technical investigation and deliberation, the Security Council determined and implemented a technical plan to transfer the funds to a secure location without affecting the status of any other chain or any Arbitrum users. As of 11:26 PM Eastern Time on April 20, the funds have been successfully transferred to an intermediate frozen wallet. The address that originally held the funds can no longer access these assets, and only Arbitrum’s management body can take further action to transfer the funds, which will be coordinated with the relevant parties.
