I just saw that Schwab has officially launched its cryptocurrency trading service. Basically, they will allow regular clients to buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum directly from their usual platform, without needing to go somewhere else.
The interesting part is that they will be gradually enabling it over the next few weeks, so probably not everyone will have access at the same time. But the idea is for everything to be integrated, meaning that cryptocurrency trading will be displayed alongside your regular portfolio, research, and everything else you already have in Schwab.
They also say they will include educational content and support, so it’s not just "here’s the buy button," but they help you understand what you’re doing. This makes sense considering they will be reaching clients who may have never touched crypto before. Do you think this will change how people access Bitcoin and Ethereum, or is it more of the same?
