I just reviewed the numbers and it's interesting what's happening today in the crypto market. Bitcoin rose to $75.76K, Ethereum hit $2.31K, and XRP is at $1.43. But the question is why cryptocurrencies are suddenly rising after days of such strong panic.
What I see is that there were liquidations of over $323 million in 24 hours, mostly short positions. When that happens in conditions of extreme fear like we had, traders are forced to close, and that creates a pretty powerful squeeze effect. Added to that, Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. recorded solid inflows of around $257.7 million, indicating that institutional capital is entering just as the market becomes more attractive. It’s the classic combination: panic liquidates leveraged speculators, and then institutional buyers come in. That’s why cryptocurrencies are rising today.
Now, the levels to watch are clear. Bitcoin needs to stay above $66,500 to confirm that the move is real. Ethereum has resistance at $2,250, and if it breaks that, it could accelerate further. XRP is consolidating well near $1.40-$1.50. The interesting thing is that it’s not just Bitcoin leading the rally; altcoins are also rebounding, so there’s broad participation. The key question now is whether why cryptocurrencies are rising will remain relevant in the coming days or if this was just a technical relief. ETF flows will be the key to see.
