Newbie Contract Avoiding Liquidation | Safe Strategy for Small Funds Within 1000U (Adapts to the Current ETH Market)

What are beginners most afraid of when trading contracts? It’s definitely liquidation—especially if you only have 1000U or less. You’re worried that one trade will wipe you out. Today, I’ll explain everything in plain language for new users, tailored to the current ETH crash. It’s easy to understand, easy to do—follow this and you can avoid 90% of the traps~
Don’t go all-in with 1000U! The beginner must-learn splitting method: split it into 5 parts, put in only 200U each time, and use 5-10x leverage. Never touch 50x! Since ETH is crashing now, even small price swings make people panic. With high leverage, the slightest move and you get liquidated—yet you’ll lose even faster.
Don’t touch the remaining 800U at random—just leave it and stay steady. If you lose 200U, never add more! I made this mistake before: the more you lose, the more you add; the more you get trapped, the deeper you go. Later I finally understood—when you lose, stop first, take 1-2 days off to rest and reflect on why you lost. Bitcoin and ETH move every day, and there’s no shortage of opportunities. Protecting your capital comes first.
Adjust your mindset and split the remaining 800U into 5 parts again (160U per part) and start over. This time be more cautious and aim to get the losses back. If you earn 500U, quickly withdraw 300U to lock in the gains—leaving only 200U to keep trading. With real, tangible profit in hand, your mindset won’t be panicky. Don’t be like some people who can’t bear to withdraw profits; then ETH suddenly gets stabbed/punches down and wipes everything out—what a pity!
Considering the current ETH situation has broken below 2250, add two must-remember newbie rules, adapted to the current trading approach:
Only go short on contracts when ETH is in the 2250-2280 high range. Set your stop-loss above 2320, take profit at 2200 and 2150. Go through the entire trade with stop-loss—never hold and “carry” a losing position;
If your daily loss exceeds 20U (2% of total funds), stop trading. If your loss reaches 60U, close the position completely and rest for 2-3 days—don’t stubbornly hold;
If your profit exceeds 400U, set half with break-even take profit, and set the other half with take profit at a 40% retracement. Don’t let big gains turn into losses.
Finally, key points for beginners: starting with 300-500U is enough; 5-10x leverage is just right. Set your stop-loss when you enter the trade (exit if you lose 100-200U), adapted to the current ETH support levels at 2200 and 2150. If you profit, withdraw the gains—every time you deposit 1000U is enough to practice. Get good first, then consider adding more~ With ETH’s current bull-bear battle raging, don’t chase shorts and don’t blindly try to catch the bottom. Stability first!
