Gate marks its 13th anniversary with the launch of the World Crypto Trading Competition Season 8, bringing together traders from around the globe to compete for a prize pool that can reach up to 8 million USDT. This year's competition introduces multiple competition tracks designed to accommodate different trading styles and experience levels.

Competition Timeline

The event runs in two phases. Pre-registration is open from April 14, 2026 at 16:00 UTC+8 through April 23, 2026 at 15:59 UTC+8. The official competition period begins April 23, 2026 at 16:00 UTC+8 and concludes on May 20, 2026 at 15:59 UTC+8.

Three Competition Tracks

Participants can choose from three distinct competition formats. The Team Trading Contest allows traders to form or join teams, with team leaders eligible to claim rewards up to 108,000 USDT. The Solo Trading Contest is designed for individual traders who prefer to compete independently. The Champions Showdown offers a head-to-head format for those seeking direct competition against other top performers.

Registration Incentives

New users who register for the competition receive a 20 USDT experience voucher. For team leaders, there is an additional early formation bonus: the first 30 team leaders whose teams reach 50 members will share a 3,000 USDT bonus pool. Daily free chests are also available during the event period, offering participants a 100 percent chance to win prizes.

Prize Pool Structure

The total rewards across all three competition tracks can reach up to 7,200,000 USDT. The prize pool unlocks dynamically based on participation, with the final amount determined by the number of valid users who achieve at least 10,000 USDT in total trading volume during the competition period.

Eligibility Requirements

To participate, users must click the Join Now button to register and complete identity verification before the event ends. For the Team or Solo Contests, participants must achieve at least 20,000 USDT in total trading volume to qualify for rewards. Trading volume from stablecoin pairs such as USDC/USDT, GUSD/USDT, and USD1/USDT does not count toward the competition trading volume.

Certain account types are not eligible to participate, including API users, VIP 15 and above, market makers, enterprise or institutional accounts, and subaccounts. Users participating in multiple similar Gate events will only receive rewards from one event.

Reward Distribution

Rewards for the Team and Solo Contests will be credited to user accounts within 15 business days after the event concludes. Vouchers can be viewed and used in the Vouchers section and must be activated before expiration. Rewards under 1 USDT will not be issued. Physical rewards will be airdropped via the Gate Shop and must be claimed within the valid period.

Fair Competition Policy

Gate strictly prohibits cheating behaviors including wash trading, collusive trading, self-trading, market manipulation, and bulk registration. Subaccounts, main accounts, and multiple accounts under the same identity are treated as a single participant. Trading volume from subaccounts does not count toward the main account, and subaccounts cannot participate independently. Violators will be disqualified and may face bans depending on severity.
