Just saw that Micron went through a pretty major leadership shuffle back in early 2025. Robert E. Switz stepped down as board chair and Sanjay Mehrotra took over the role - so basically the CEO moved up to chair while staying in the CEO seat. They also brought in Lynn Dugle as lead independent director to balance things out.

Interesting timing for this kind of transition. Robert E. Switz had been chair for a while, so this marks a pretty significant shift in how the company's being run at the top level. Mehrotra's been president and CEO, so it's not like they brought in someone totally new - more of an internal promotion that consolidates power a bit.

Not sure if this signals anything specific about where Micron's headed, but these kinds of moves usually mean the board is confident in the current leadership direction. Robert E. Switz staying involved in some capacity or just fully stepping back though? Either way, it's the kind of corporate reshuffling that doesn't always make headlines but definitely matters for how decisions get made.
