The Iranian government, which had opened the Strait of Hormuz route on Friday (17/04), actually closed it again in less than 24 hours. This decision was made due to the stance of the United States (AS), which continued to blockade the Iranian Port.

Furthermore, as a result of the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, two Indonesian tanker ships did not depart from there. In fact, PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) revealed that the ships Pertamina Pride and Gamsunoro are still in the Arabian Gulf and have not yet crossed the Strait of Hormuz.

However, Pjs Corporate Secretary of PIS Vega Pita stated that the company continues to closely monitor the development of the situation in this strategic shipping lane.

“Both PIS ships, Pertamina Pride and Gamsunoro, are currently still in the Arabian Gulf and have not yet crossed the Strait of Hormuz. PIS continues to carefully monitor the highly dynamic situation in the Strait of Hormuz,” Vega said, citing various sources, Sunday (19/04).

Therefore, the Indonesian government, together with various authorized authorities, continues to monitor the safety of the crew, the security of the ships, and the cargo carried as Indonesia’s reserves.
