ME News report. On April 19 (UTC+8), Saeed Hatipzadeh, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, said on the 18th that Iran will never hand over its own enriched uranium to the United States. Hatipzadeh refuted remarks previously made by U.S. President Donald Trump on the enriched uranium issue. He said Iran is willing to communicate regarding concerns between both sides, but will never accept unrealistic preconditions: “No enriched materials will be shipped to the United States.” Hatipzadeh said that, because the United States has refused to give up its “maximum pressure” stance on key issues, Iran is not yet prepared to hold a new round of face-to-face talks with the U.S. side.
