ME News report: On April 12 (UTC+8), the link to prediction market platform Polymarket briefly appeared in Google News search, listed alongside mainstream media such as Reuters and The Guardian, but was quickly removed. A Google spokesperson said this was an “error,” and the company has removed the site from the news section. Previously, when users searched for event-driven prediction questions, Polymarket’s listing would appear directly under traditional news outlets. Polymarket and its competitor Kalshi have recently been actively pushing integration with media platforms. Last year, Google partnered with both platforms to incorporate their data into Google Finance. This June, the X platform announced Polymarket as its official partner, and it subsequently completed integrations with the crypto wallet MetaMask and World’s World App. (Source: MLion)
