KelpDAO suffers attack with a loss of 116.5k rsETH, hackers cash out to receive 106,466 ETH
Mars Finance reports that on April 19, according to on-chain analyst Yu Jin’s monitoring, KelpDAO suffered a vulnerability attack early this morning, leading to the unauthorized minting of 116,500 rsETH out of thin air, resulting in losses of approximately $293 million. Most of the rsETH was deposited into Aave as collateral to borrow ETH, while a smaller portion was directly sold to obtain ETH. Through collateralization and selling, the hacker obtained a total of 106,466 ETH (about $250 million).
