I just looked at the mempool again, and it really feels like waiting in line during rush hour... You click "Send," but actually the transaction first goes to the front desk to get a number, and miners/packagers will prioritize picking up the fee comfortably. During congestion, it’s even more obvious: either stuck there for half a day without moving, or you get anxious and raise the fee (add a little tip), and it suddenly jumps the queue successfully; the most awkward part is thinking you haven't sent it out, but then you send another one, and both get on the chain together, messing yourself up.

My current habit is: when I see congestion on the chain, I take a deep breath first, don’t stay up late staring at that "pending" status, and definitely don’t get worked up and leverage high to rush through. The macro side is also talking about rate cut expectations, the dollar index, and risk assets rising and falling together. When market sentiment heats up, on-chain congestion becomes even easier to squeeze... Anyway, I first take a screenshot to save, reminding myself not to be impulsive.
