ME News message, April 6 (UTC+8): according to sources familiar with the matter, the final Iran–U.S. ceasefire proposal includes Iran abandoning nuclear weapons in exchange for the lifting of sanctions and the unfreezing of frozen assets. A plan to end hostilities in the Middle East must be agreed upon by Monday. If agreement is reached, the plan will facilitate an immediate ceasefire, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and reach a final agreement within 15 to 20 days. Pakistan’s Army Chief of Staff spoke by phone separately with U.S. Vice President Vance, Special Envoy Vitkov, and Iranian Foreign Minister Alaraji. Iran and the United States have received a plan to end hostilities. The plan is a two-stage agreement: first achieve a ceasefire, then reach a final deal. (Source: ChainCatcher)
