ME News report: On April 6 (UTC+8), according to informed sources, the final proposal for the US-Iran ceasefire agreement includes Iran giving up nuclear weapons in exchange for the lifting of sanctions and the unfreezing of frozen assets. The plan to end hostilities in the Middle East must be agreed upon by Monday. If an agreement is reached, the plan will facilitate an immediate ceasefire, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and reach a final agreement within 15 to 20 days. Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff spoke by phone with US Vice President Vance, envoy Vitkov, and Iranian Foreign Minister Alaraji. Iran and the US have received a plan to end hostilities, which is a two-stage agreement: first achieve a ceasefire, then reach a final deal. (Source: ChainCatcher)
