The core difference between smart people and fools lies in how they handle their self-esteem: fools tend to prioritize their self-esteem, even to the point of overriding the pursuit of information and value; while smart people can temporarily set aside their self-esteem, focusing on learning and gaining value. In communication, if the other person is overly attached to their self-esteem, it not only makes it difficult to obtain effective information but also easily leads to emotional confrontation; conversely, those who can restrain their self-esteem and focus on growth are more likely to seize opportunities and accumulate wealth. However, if after success they are again dominated by their self-esteem, they may lose their original advantage.
