The European Commission preliminarily finds that metaverse platform companies remain non-compliant after policy adjustments
ME News Report, April 15 (UTC+8), the European Commission issued a statement saying that it has sent a supplementary objection notice to a U.S. metaverse platform company. The preliminary conclusion is that the company still violates EU antitrust rules after adjusting measures related to restricting third-party artificial intelligence (AI) assistants from accessing its instant messaging app WhatsApp. The commission plans to require the company to restore access for third-party AI assistants to WhatsApp. (Source: ODAILY)
