Abstract generation in progress

ME News Report, April 15 (UTC+8), according to Dongcha Beating monitoring, the AI full-stack development tool Lovable has released a native desktop application, currently supporting macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), with the Windows version coming soon. All package users (including free version) can download and use it directly at no extra cost.
The desktop version adds three capabilities on top of all functions available on the web version:

  1. Local MCP server support: can connect to tools running on the local machine, including Figma Desktop and design tools Paper, and also supports manually adding any custom local MCP server
  2. Multi-project tab: create new tabs with Cmd+T, quickly switch with Cmd+1 to Cmd+9, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  3. Native keyboard shortcuts: Cmd+K to open the command menu, Cmd+Shift+O to open the current page in the browser
The local MCP is the core selling point of this update. Lovable previously only had a web version, with all operations done in the cloud, unable to access user’s local tools. The desktop client fills this gap: designers can draw interfaces in Figma, and Lovable directly reads the design drafts via local MCP, then generates code based on that, eliminating the need for manual screenshots or exports. This marks a step forward for Lovable from a purely cloud-based prototype generator to one that can integrate into local development toolchains.
