I just read something interesting about Kevin Warsh and his possible role at the Fed under Trump. According to economists, this type could be quite different from what we expect in terms of interest rate policy.
Market speculation is that Warsh could surprise us with cuts of up to 100 basis points during this year. If that happens, we would be looking at a pretty dramatic shift in monetary policy. It's the kind of move that can completely change the narrative in crypto markets.
The interesting part is how this plays against current expectations. Many traders assume that cuts will be gradual, but if Warsh joins the Fed and decides to act more aggressively, everything could move very quickly. Markets hate uncertainty, but they love when they can anticipate policy changes.
For those of us paying attention to cryptocurrencies, this is relevant because easy money (low rates) has historically benefited risk assets like Bitcoin and altcoins. If we really see those 100 basis point cuts, it could be a significant catalyst.
It will be worth watching how this develops in the coming months. The Fed has always been key to understanding crypto cycles, and if Warsh actually takes power, we could be facing a game changer.
