About the Fantasy of "What If"
I often hear people say:
"If I had spent $10k on Ethereum in 2014, I would have $100 million now."
That's not true.
If you honestly rewind and replay the story, it actually goes like this:
$10k turns into $500k — and you did nothing.
Then it becomes $7 million — and you still did nothing.
Then $7 million shrinks to $195k — and you hold steady.
$195k rises to $15 million — and you keep holding.
$15 million drops to $600k — and you still hold.
$600k surges to $10k — and you refuse to sell.
$10k crashes to $500k — and you continue to hold.
$195k skyrockets to $160 million — and you do nothing.
$160 million shrinks to $27 million — and you stubbornly hold on.
$27 million rises again to $100 million, and just then, you suddenly decide to "make a move."
Yes, only in this scenario could $10k in 2014 really turn into $100 million.
The most unrealistic part of this story isn't Ethereum's price increase.
The most unrealistic part is that at every stage, the person did absolutely nothing.
The market is never a profit curve in a demo document.
It is a psychological meat grinder.
The so-called "cycles will solve everything" presupposes that you haven't already been shaken out first.
