ME News, April 11 (UTC+8): According to a report, Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Yeshir Leit, revealed that Israel has agreed to hold talks with Lebanon on the 14th, but refused to discuss a ceasefire with Hezbollah. He said that Hezbollah’s continued attacks are an important obstacle to the peace process. Meanwhile, the Lebanese presidential palace issued a statement saying that both sides have agreed to hold their first meeting on the 14th at the U.S. State Department to discuss announcing a ceasefire and the specific date for launching negotiations under U.S. mediation.
