ME News Report, April 11 (UTC+8), local time on the 11th, Iran stated that a U.S. destroyer was detected sailing from the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates toward the Strait of Hormuz. After closely monitoring its movements, the Iranian armed forces immediately informed the Iranian delegation negotiating in Pakistan. The delegation then conveyed their stance to the U.S. side through Pakistani mediators and issued a clear warning to the destroyer: if it continues to approach the Strait of Hormuz, it will be struck within 30 minutes, and negotiations will be affected. Under the firm response of Iran’s armed forces and the timely warning from the negotiation team, the U.S. side ultimately ordered the destroyer to stop advancing and turn back.
