🔥Aethir Successfully contained cross-chain bridge attacks; user loss compensation plan to be announced next week
On April 10th, Aethir released a security notice stating that the team has monitored and successfully thwarted malicious attacks on the ATH token cross-chain bridge contract. The affected contracts have been disconnected, and the vulnerability has been controlled. The core supply of ATH tokens on the Ethereum mainnet remains intact, and the ETH-ARB cross-chain bridge on Squid was unaffected. The total loss from the incident is less than $90k. Aethir stated that a complete compensation plan will be announced next week, and they are working with exchanges and law enforcement agencies to advance fund freezes and attacker tracking. The official team will maintain transparency, continuously update progress, and the attacker wallet list will be published via Discord, along with a detailed report.
