ME News update: On April 5 (UTC+8), the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, Commander Abdolahim, responded on April 4 to the “48-hour” ultimatum issued by U.S. President Trump, emphasizing that the Iranian military would firmly defend national rights and protect national assets, and that invaders would pay the price. That evening, Iran’s Islamic Republic Broadcasting reported that Abdolahim said that after repeatedly suffering failures, Trump carried out “helpless, panicked, imbalanced, and foolish” actions in an attempt to threaten Iran’s infrastructure and national assets. Abdolahim stressed that if the United States and Israel launch such attacks, “we will launch continuous and devastating strikes, without restriction, against all infrastructure used by U.S. forces and against Israeli infrastructure.” He reminded the U.S. and Israel that since this war imposed on Iran began, “everything we have said has already been put into action.” (Source: ODAILY)
