Mey and Iran agree to a two-week ceasefire, triggering a surge in risk assets. Bitcoin breaks above $71,000, rising to a three-week high.

According to CoinDesk quotes, Bitcoin hit a 24-hour high of $72,699 and is now at $71,783, up 4.61%. Ethereum is currently at 2,250, up 6.96%; Dogecoin is up 4.38%.

U.S. President Trump said that, through mediation by Pakistan, an initial ceasefire agreement has been reached. If Iran agrees to fully, immediately, and safely reopen the Strait of Hormuz, he will agree to suspend bombings and attacks against Iran for two weeks.

Analysts said that if Bitcoin can break through $73,000, the next target would be $74,508. If the rally cannot sustain and $70,825 is lost, it could pull back to $69,546 to seek support.
