Have you already fallen into scams on Telegram? That's right, TG is basically the WhatsApp of the crypto community, but it has also become a playground for scammers. I'll share what I've been seeing out there.

The problem is that Telegram offers a lot of privacy, which is great, but it also creates space for dishonest people. Recently, cases of scams on Telegram have exploded, especially those where criminals pretend to be employees of major exchanges to carry out phishing or convince you to participate in fake investments.

An important detail: if someone adds you on TG and has account information in the "About me" field, you can bet it's a scam. Scammers do this to appear official.

They use various tricks. Some pretend to be financial advisors, invite you to an "exclusive" airdrop, and charge tax fees. Others create fake support bots, fraudulent groups with the logo of an official exchange. I've seen cases where they ask you to send ETH to receive fake BNB. Basically, it's always the same strategy: gain your trust and disappear with your assets.

How to protect yourself? First: carefully check the username. Scammers are creative, using a capital L instead of I, swapping special characters. At first glance, it looks legitimate, but it’s not. You can also use verification tools to confirm if an account is real.

Another important thing is to download Telegram only from the official source. There are many fake TG apps out there with embedded malware. If you get an unofficial version, they can read your chat history, control your account, and collect device data. Delete it immediately if you’ve done that.

Enable two-factor authentication on your account. This greatly reduces the chance of being hacked. And obviously: never share personal information, passwords, seed phrases, or anything like that.

There are also investment scams. Fake airdrops where they ask you to connect your wallet to a malicious smart contract or share your private key. Fake tokens created on temporary accounts with absurd profit promises. All of this is standard scam behavior on Telegram circulating around token launches.

The golden rule: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Don’t click on links from unknown sources, don’t make investments with "guaranteed" returns, and research the project beforehand.

My advice? Stay alert on Telegram. Verify everything twice. And if you have doubts about a promotion, go directly to the official website of the platform, don’t trust links received in chat.
